Rainfall: WXSIM and Weather Underground values are compared as 30-minute intervals. New records use the collector's independent rainfall baseline. For compatibility with earlier Stage 2 records, the dashboard can also reconstruct a missing WU 30-minute rainfall value from consecutive saved cumulative precipTotal readings when the forecast-valid times are exactly 30 minutes apart.
Wind direction: when the collector excludes a direction record from scoring because either wind speed is below the calm-wind threshold, the dashboard still shows the shortest angular difference for information, marked (calm). These calm-wind values are not added to the mean absolute error.
